APR is the voluntary certification program for public relations professionals that was established to acknowledge individuals who lead their field and demonstrate exceptional professional competence. Certifications are granted by the Universal Accreditation Board (UAB), a consortium of nine professional communication organizations of which the Public Relations Society of America is a lead member.
